Focus Africa Festival returns post-covid with a brand new explosive multicultural entertainment showcase at Rich Mix, in Shoreditch, London’s number one independent arts venue.
Focus Africa Organisation, in partnership with Arts Council England and Creative Resilience International present, 4th Focus Africa Festival: Music & Fashion, 29th July 2023, proudly supported by major pillars in the community including Rich Mix, The Africa Centre, The Royal African Society and Black Cultural Archives.
This 8 hours immersive experience will transport the audience into the heart of the Motherland through non-stop, inescapable tantalising rhythms and seductive sounds of live music, featuring some of the best musicians from Africa, 40+ artists/musicians including Yaaba Funk (Ghana – Hi-life), Grupo Lokito (Congo DRC – UK) and Koroleko, Moussa Dembele (Burkina Faso).
For the first time ever a carefully curated fashion component will rock the runway at the festival spotlighting some of the most impressive and celebrated emerging and frontier fashion creatives in Africa and the African Diaspora including Lisou London, Soboye, Kwame Koranteng, Denim Recon, Massassi B, YouMeeWee, George Adesegun, Re:I.D., Anderson Rodrigues, MultiCulture, Matthew Eluwande and Kutivz Kouture.Â
