TMBDLF Launches Educational Scholarships for the 9th Year in a Row

On 1 March 2024, the Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation will open the application process for their 9th Annual Scholarships.

Full-time students will have until 30th June 2024 at 5pm (GMT) to apply via the application process detailed within their website www.tmbdlf.com.

The educational diversity leadership scholarships categories are available across many fields of study and sectors which relates to future career aspirations. The scholarship programme categories for 2024/25 are as per below:

  • Law, sponsored by Hogan Lovells 
  • Finance & business
  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics)
  • Medical (supporting Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust)
  • Multi-sector (for all other industries) – Scholarship applicants can place their preferred sector(s) not listed under the multi-sector scholarship
  • Black Women on Boards (for all industries and supports black and mixed-race female student leaders with Black African, the Caribbean and other black heritage aiming for the boardroom membership)
  • Charity (for those with an interest for working in the Third Sector)
  • ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) 
  • Disability and Neurodiversity, sponsored by Reed Smith (this includes part-time students specifically for this scholarship who are unable to study full-time due to their disability)
  • Global Gender Human Rights (for future human rights leaders with an interest in eliminating gender discrimination in the UK and globally)

The scholarship award includes funding, mentoring, reverse mentoring, networking opportunities and where available work experience.

The winners will be announced during the Autumn Term 2024 at The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Annual Lecture.

To date, we have awarded over 400 scholarships which have been a mixture of our standard scholarships and mentoring scholarships. We are changing lives and it is wonderful to see the positive impact that our work is having on our next generation of diverse leaders”. 

Previous Scholarship Winner Sadiah Rahman confirmed how the Charity has helped her by saying on 12th February 2024: “As a recipient of the Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Scholarship Award under the “STEM” category in 2023, thank you for your unwavering advocacy, leadership and support. Insights from the D.A.R.E podcast and my own mentor is what I needed to develop with my goals to have a career in STEM.
